???? 1955 – Early Beginnings

SOUND Machinery was one of the earliest enterprises to produce plastic Injection Molding Machines in China. As a pioneer of the Chinese plastic machinery industry, it laid the foundation for future technological advancements in this field.

???? 1966 – Transition to Industrial Manufacturing

In December 1966, the company expanded from agricultural machinery to general machine tools and plastic injection molding machines. It was renamed “Zhejiang Machinery Factory,” becoming China’s first batch of injection molding machine manufacturers.

???? 1969 – Independent R&D Initiated

SOUND began independently developing injection molding machines, further solidifying its status as a trailblazer in China’s plastics industry.

???? 1980 – Introduction of German Technology

SOUND introduced advanced German injection molding technology through collaboration with Battenfeld, laying a solid foundation for its core competitiveness in machine quality and innovation.

???? 1987 – International Expansion

The company co-founded Hyundai International Plastics in Dubai with Alschawi in the United Arab Emirates, marking SOUND's first step into the global market.

???? 1991 – Establishment of Injection Molding Subsidiary

In December 1991, a specialized group focused on plastic injection molding machine production was formally established, with registered capital increased from 30 to 100 million yuan.
That same month, SOUND’s machines won the national silver award — the highest recognition in China’s domestic injection molding industry.
Also in 1991, national leader Wang Zhen visited and inspected the company’s products.

???? 1993 – Stock Standardization Pilot Enterprise

SOUND became one of the first pilot enterprises approved for stock standardization by the provincial government and later reported for national review, moving toward public company status.

???? 1996–1997 – Strategic Partnership with Mitsubishi

The company partnered with Mitsubishi (Japan) to produce new injection molding machines for IRIS, the largest daily plastic goods manufacturer in Asia. This collaboration set benchmarks across Asia and globally.

???? 2008 – Corporate Restructuring

In May 2008, the company officially restructured as ZHEJIANG SOUND MACHINERY MANUFACTURE CO., LTD., marking a modern chapter of brand development.

???? 2012 – Government Recognition

In October 2012, Mao Guanglie, then vice governor of Zhejiang Province, personally visited and inspected the company’s facilities.

???? 2018 – National Industry Excellence Award

SOUND’s “large-capacity extrusion injection molding equipment” was selected as an “Outstanding Product of Machinery Industry” in celebration of the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up.

Also in 2018, the second phase of the DEQING SOUND Factory was inaugurated.

 In his letter, He Xing from the China Light Industry Machinery Association praised SOUND for its foundational role and historic contribution to China’s plastic machinery sector.

???? 2020 – Digital Reform and Smart Manufacturing

On June 29, Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, visited SOUND and emphasized specialized innovation and digital transformation, promoting steady quality and economic advancement.

???? 2024 – Establishment of Intelligent Equipment Subsidiary

SOUND (Taizhou) Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. was officially established, marking a new era of smart manufacturing and expanded market services.
